Dusseldorf, after his
European (inc. Portuguese and Spanish Peninsula) tour. Steve continued with
George on Honda 400 Super Dream motorcycle through Germany, Holland and
France. Richard and Debbie drove back. Steve, George, Richard and Debbie.
Pete’s Farm. 29 April to 2nd May. Eat, drink and be merry. Honda
Superdream and Yamaha DT125 Trail bikes. Steve and George.
Motorbike Tour. 13-15 May. "Mad Axeman’s" Pub, Worthing, Camber Sands.
Night on beach. Home in rain. Steve, George and Martin.
Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells. 10-12 June. Steve, George and Martin.
Sussex Coast. George says: "In Aug '83 Steve, Pie and me, spent another
weekend at 'Pete's farm' before the 'big 'un'. It was memorable for the last
motorbike ride before we left and Pete's fry-ups."
The Big One –
Eurasian Tour. 5th September 1983 to 31st January 1984.
Steve and George. By Honda 90 motorbike (Yes, 90cc!). Belgium, France,
Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Italy, Jugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Iran,
Pakistan, India, Nepal, Malaysia and Singapore. Returned by Aeroflot flight to
Athens and a nightmare coach journey to Venice and then on to Paris. Joined by
Martin for latter part, who continued on alone to Australia.
